ICT Adviser Nahid Islam announced that a committee will be formed soon to convert the official residence of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, Ganabhaban, into a museum of mass uprising. The Cabinet has decided to transform the prime minister's residence into a museum commemorating the July uprising, as it was a significant victory for the people on August 5. The museum aims to make it a global symbol of what happens to authoritarian, fascist, and murderous leaders and emphasize that power ultimately belongs to the people. Discussions with officials from the Public Works and Architecture Department have already taken place, and instructions have been given to form a committee. The committee will include museum and architecture experts, as well as international experts with experience in similar projects.
