The army authorities announced this in an official order, confirming that a policy decision has been made on the matter. Additionally, a guideline will be developed for wearing the hijab. The longstanding restrictions on hijab-wearing for female officers, personnel in the Armed Forces Nursing Service (AFNS), and other ranks have recently been lifted. On September 3, a policy decision was made during the PSO Conference, allowing female members to wear hijabs with their uniforms if they wish. Previously, regulations prohibited the wearing of hijabs with the uniform.
