Former law minister Anisul Huq has claimed that he and Salman F Rahman supported the quota reform movement. Anisul also claimed innocence and sought justice during a remand hearing in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurul Huda Chowdhury's court. Former law minister Anisul Huq said, "Both Salman F Rahman and I were in favour of the quota reform movement. We were unaware of the incident. I am innocent and seek justice from the court." The court granted five days to question the duo in custody, their fourth time on remand, in a case over the shooting death of a youth in Badda during the student movement.
