Actor Waliul Haq Rumi has died following a struggle with cancer.

Renowned television actor Waliul Haq Rumi passed away after a battle with colon cancer, leaving the entertainment industry mourning his loss. Fellow actors like Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Shahnaz Khushi paid tribute to him on social media, recalling his warmth and friendliness. Khushi, deeply emotional, remembered their bond as more than just colleagues but as close friends. Rumi, starting his acting journey in 1988, gained recognition with his debut in "Kon Kanoner Phool" and ventured into movies with "Doriaparer Douloti" in 2009. Notable for his roles in various dramas like "Suggestion Selim" and "Dhaka Metro Love," Rumi's last appearance was in "Bokulpur" on Deepto TV. He will be laid to rest in Barisal, survived by his wife and children.
