46.5 KG of Hilsha seized by bgb while being smuggled into India

BGB members intercepted a smuggling attempt of hilsa fish weighing 46.5 kg near the Tahirpur upazila border in Sunamganj, as the fish were being transported to India. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 31, around 3:30 pm in the Shahidabad area of Lauregar in the upazila. According to BGB sources, smugglers were moving the fish through the Shahidabad area when BGB members from Lauregar under Sunamganj-28 BGB unit acted on a tip-off and pursued them. Upon noticing the BGB presence, the smugglers abandoned two cocksheets filled with hilsa fish and fled the scene.
