1835Cr taka saved from the total budget for completing the Padma Bridge

The remaining funds for finishing the Padma Bridge construction were 1,835 crore and 68 lakh taka. The director of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge project, Shafiqul Islam, made the announcement on Thursday, July 4. "We had to finish our work amidst various uncertainties," Shafiqul Islam stated. We were able to finish the bridge work thanks to the Prime Minister's efforts after the World Bank and other agencies withdrew. A lovely bridge has been made available to the public by us. Thankfully, we were able to spend 1,835 crore and 68 lakh taka less than the amount we were allotted. We shall ensure compliance with all legislation by depositing that sum into the government treasury.
