149 bhori gold is missing from the Islami Bank locker

Rokeya Akter Bari alleges that the contents of her locker were stolen, with suspected involvement of bank officials. She stated that the locker originally held 149 bhori of gold jewelry, valued at approximately Tk1.74 crore, including various items such as bangles, necklaces, chains, rings, and earrings. However, upon inspection, only 10 to 11 bhori of gold remained. When questioned, Shafiqul Mawla, Manager of the Chawkbazar Branch of Islami Bank, acknowledged the incident but declined to provide further details over the phone.
