Ishtiaq Arif, the Awami League General Secretary of Faridpur District, recently offered a reward of Tk 50,000 to anyone who could catch a live Russell's viper while wearing protective gear. Responding to the challenge, Rezaul, a farmer and occasional fisherman from Kader Bazar in Aliabad Union, caught a baby Russell's viper and brought it to the Faridpur Press Club on Saturday night, hoping to claim the prize.
