Leader from Chhatra League at CU caught stealing window grills from a residential hall

Jewel Ibn Hossain, a Chhatra League leader at Chittagong University, was detained while attempting to sell iron grilles from a university residential hall window. CU officials identified him as a master's student in banking and insurance. The incident occurred at the university gate, where security initially mistook him for an outsider. Jewel claimed he found the grilles abandoned at an old building. After questioning, CU's proctor released him on a written bond. The university plans to discuss the matter further in an upcoming academic council meeting.
