PayPal is likely to enter the Bangladeshi market soon, aiming to facilitate digital payments for SpaceX’s upcoming satellite operations in the country. This potential development comes in the wake of a meeting between SpaceX executive Lauren Dreyer and Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, which took place during the Earthna Summit in Qatar. During their discussion, Dreyer mentioned that a technical launch might take place as early as May. The partnership between the two sides is reportedly in its final stages and, once finalized, is expected to have a transformative impact on Bangladesh’s digital economy. This move could especially benefit freelancers and online entrepreneurs, many of whom currently face challenges due to the absence of PayPal services in the country.
