Controversy erupted in the Dhaka Premier League as two teams objected to women umpires officiating a match between Prime Bank and Mohammedan. Despite international umpire Sathira Zakir JC's presence, objections were raised, with concerns about his experience level. Chairman of the umpires committee, Iftekhar Ahmed Mithu, condemned the discrimination, stating that the teams eventually relented. The incident has raised questions about the ICC's response and potential repercussions for the clubs involved. Additionally, controversy arose over Mushfiqur Rahim's dismissal, adding to the turmoil surrounding the match.
