After a ISIS issued threats targeting Champions League venues, security has been significantly heightened for the games in cities including Madrid, Paris, and London. The threats, which included images of stadiums but did not specify particular matches, led to increased security measures, with France and Spain confirming deployment of thousands of security personnel. UEFA confirmed that matches would proceed as scheduled with reinforced security. Despite no specific threats being confirmed, the authorities are maintaining high vigilance, with the Spanish terrorist alert level at a high-risk "four out of five." Officials urge the public to remain calm, asserting that the threats may be more about generating fear than actual planned attacks.
