Rapper Nicki Minaj faced a brief arrest and subsequent fine at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport over allegations of possessing "soft drugs." Dutch authorities reported that a 41-year-old American woman was fined and released after being suspected of carrying drugs. While not explicitly named by Dutch police, Minaj posted a video of the incident on social media, denying the claims. Cannabis is tolerated but illegal for recreational use in the Netherlands. Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, was on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, with a show scheduled in Manchester, England, which was postponed due to the incident. She claimed the arrest was an attempt to sabotage her tour, alleging theft and retaliation by individuals linked to her travel arrangements.
