Court Orders Arrest of Mehazabien Chowdhury and Brother in Tk 2.7 Million Embezzlement Case

A Dhaka court has issued arrest warrants for actress Mehazabien Chowdhury and her brother, Alisan Chowdhury, over allegations of embezzling 2.7 million taka by promising a business partnership and issuing death threats. Judge Afroza Tania of Dhaka Executive Magistrate Court-3 issued the warrants on November 10. The complainant, Amirul Islam, confirmed the development on Sunday.
