Zara Dar, a former PhD student who left academia to pursue a career on OnlyFans, has addressed misinformation about her background. In a viral video, Dar clarified she is not Pakistani, contrary to claims, and instead has a diverse heritage, including American, Persian, Southern European, Middle Eastern, and Indian roots. She explained her decision to leave her PhD in engineering was driven primarily by frustrations with academia rather than financial reasons. Dar emphasized that dropping out was her choice, and she has not given exclusive interviews about her transition. Responding to widespread discussions and inaccuracies, Dar urged people to watch her YouTube video for a comprehensive understanding of her decision, which highlights broader issues within academic institutions.
