# Woman Protests at Midnight with Child After Police Refuse Case Against BNP Leader > A woman protested overnight with her child outside Fatullah Police Station after police allegedly refused to file a case naming Narayanganj BNP leader Sakhawat Hossain Khan in an attack on litigant Irfan Mia and his fam… Published: 2026-09-15 · Desk: Latest · Source: Rashid Ahmed Sadi FB Yesterday (28 October), a woman staged a sit-in with her child in front of Fatullah Police Station, claiming the police refused to file a case that named Narayanganj city BNP leader Sakhawat Hossain Khan as the main accused. According to the family, police pressured them to remove Sakhawat’s name and file the complaint without him. The incident began on 26 October when litigant Irfan Mia attended a court hearing and was allegedly attacked by Sakhawat’s junior lawyer and clerks. Irfan, his wife Razia Sultana, and their two sons were injured. A video showing Razia being assaulted in front of her children went viral on social media. The family later filed a written complaint naming Sakhawat and eight others, but police reportedly refused to register it. Razia said, “They told us to remove his name. How can we? He ordered the attack. Now we hear they are preparing a counter case against us.” Refusing the complaint, Razia sat at the police station gate around 2 a.m. with her child, crying, “The SP, Circle SP, OC — none of them took my case. There’s no justice here.” Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Jashim Uddin said, “The case will be filed tonight. Two complaints were lodged over the same incident, so we were verifying details. We will proceed with the case and investigation; the rest will follow after investigation.” Original reporting: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CFrsPup6Y/ HTML: https://tezzfeed.com/latest-news/woman-protests-at-midnight-with-child-after-police-refuse-case-against-bnp-leader-1761720672784 Bangladesh desk: https://tezzfeed.com/bangladeshi-news.md Agent map: https://tezzfeed.com/llms.txt
