On Monday (February 10), Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate GM Farhan Ishtiaq approved the remand, and the accused were subsequently taken to jail. Palak appeared in court wearing handcuffs, a bulletproof jacket, and a helmet. Speaking to reporters, he stated, "One should win with love, not fear." However, when asked who his message was directed at, he remained silent. His lawyers, on the other hand, remarked, "You can see who is spreading fear." Regarding his condition in jail, Palak simply smiled in response. Following the remand hearing, Palak's lawyer, Farzana Yasmin Rakhi, held a press conference, revealing that he had already been placed on remand for 60 days across multiple police station cases, with an additional 24 days still pending. She mentioned that Palak had fallen ill during a previous remand under Jatrabari Police Station and, therefore, they had requested the court to cancel the remand or allow questioning at the jail gate. Despite this, the court proceeded with granting the remand. In the same case, former advisor to Sheikh Hasina, Salman F Rahman, Trinamool BNP chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, and former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun have also been remanded. They were taken to jail alongside Palak. During the proceedings, Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury raised his hand and remarked, "Look at the handcuffs on a man who received a title during the Liberation War." After a brief pause, he added, "Handcuffs on a freedom fighter who was honored, injured, and disabled—why is this?" He then walked silently toward the jail. Earlier in the morning, the accused were brought to court from jail, where the investigation officer, Jatrabari Police Station Sub-Inspector Nazmul Hasan, requested a 10-day remand. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court ultimately granted a 4-day remand for the accused.
