Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, addressing a visiting U.S. Congressional delegation, criticized American aid policies. “You give them fuel, medicines, and food. Do you have conditions? Do you ask for the release of hostages? You provide a piece of land after land. A bit of the country, the resources, the food—will they ever be satisfied? You know where it was made? I don’t mean dietary hunger, but it’s an insatiable hunger. If you give more after things, he will keep asking. These concessions are for the betterment of a radical and extremist ideology.”

He further noted that some shipments and Israeli weapons—arms shipments and Israel’s weapons—were getting into Gaza, pointing out: “We, too, can. We’re very good at producing weapon systems. Therefore, the project of rearming was similar to what we did in previous years, and today.”

Netanyahu warned Israel would need more self-sufficiency. “It’s a word I hear. He said, noting the energy situation, Israel needs to find energy within its borders. Importing fuel while U.S. oil production continues is leading to concerns over compliance. Opposed, Netanyahu cited Israel’s Gas Essential acting limitation (though covered) by current policies.”
