Following Donald Trump’s re-election, liberal women in the US are increasingly aligning with South Korea's 4B movement, which advocates for rejecting marriage, dating, childbirth, and sex with men. Originally a response to gender inequality in South Korea, the movement is resonating with American women disillusioned by a system they feel neglects their rights, especially in light of Trump’s controversial presidency and the overturning of national abortion rights. Kamala Harris’s loss has further intensified frustrations, fueling social media discussions and highlighting dissatisfaction with gender and political issues in the US.
