Across the country, the Dawra-e-Hadith examinations of Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh, the highest central board for Qawmi madrasas, have begun at 259 centers. Nearly 24,000 students are participating, but among them, two faces stand out—Abdur Rahman and Zubayer.

Hailing from South Khan’s Madrasatur Rahman Al Arabia, these two young men are making history today. Though they have no sight, they possess the light of the heart. For the first time in the country, they are taking the exam using the Braille system with identical questions.

Their lives are devoid of color, for their eyes cannot see. While the world around them is full of noise, their world is silent, shrouded in deep darkness. Yet, this darkness could not stop them. They may never have seen the world with their eyes, but they have memorized the Holy Quran and Hadith with their hearts.

For the first time in Bangladesh’s history, someone is taking the Dawra-e-Hadith (master’s level) exam in Braille. The challenging text, which is like a mountain for ordinary students, has been conquered by these two indomitable talents. They have shown the world that with determination and Allah’s mercy, no physical limitation can stand in the way. Though their eyes are closed, the eyes of their souls are fully open.

After this arduous journey, the greatest reward awaits them—performing the sacred Umrah. Though they have never seen the sky, they will touch the holy Kaaba’s Kiswa. They may not see it with their eyes, but with all the emotion of their hearts, they will feel their Creator.

The story of Abdur Rahman and Zubayer is a story of a unique triumph over adversity, teaching us that those whom Allah supports can never be stopped.
