Turkey has proposed setting up a joint drone manufacturing facility in Bangladesh, marking a significant step forward in defense cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, reports indicate that Ankara is close to finalizing a major deal to supply its advanced air defense systems to Dhaka.

If both developments come to fruition, defense analysts believe they could significantly reshape the strategic balance in South Asia. Bangladesh's deterrence capabilities—especially in relation to India and Myanmar—would be notably strengthened.
