The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh debate team has made history by winning the 2024 JCI World Debating Championship, the first victory for a Bangladeshi team in this event. The championship took place at the JCI World Congress in Taoyuan, Taiwan, from October 28 to November 2, attracting over 4,000 young leaders from 100 countries. JCI Bangladesh secured its spot in the global championship by winning the Asia Pacific Debate Championship in June. The team, featuring Samiha Akhter, Zafir Shafiee Chowdhury, and Muntasir Mamun, credited their success to rigorous preparation and effective argumentation. JCI Bangladesh National President Imran Kadir praised the team's dedication and teamwork, emphasizing the pride this victory brings to the organization and Bangladesh.
