Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has pledged not to let key figures from the ousted Sheikh Hasina government evade justice, emphasizing that the Bangladeshi people will not forgive his administration if it fails to hold them accountable.

"We will bring her (Hasina) to justice. It must happen; otherwise, people won’t forgive us," he said in an interview with UAE state-owned English daily The National. He mentioned that efforts are underway to locate the former prime minister and her senior officials and bring them back to Bangladesh to face legal action.

"We have sent a notice to India for Sheikh Hasina’s repatriation. We have substantial evidence, including the UN High Commissioner's Report on Human Rights," Prof. Yunus stated during the interview at the World Governments Summit in Dubai.

"This report serves as a testament to the actions of her government. The UN has documented these activities, and we have a large amount of evidence detailing the damage caused by her administration and close associates. We have already initiated the legal process and expect it to move forward to bring her to justice. It has to happen, or people will not forgive us," he added.
