All-rounder Shakib al Hasan is expected to return to Bangladesh on Thursday to participate in the upcoming home Test series against South Africa, marking his first visit since July. He plans to play his final Test match at home after announcing his retirement from Tests and T20Is last month. Shakib’s return follows political changes in Bangladesh, which led to uncertainty regarding his safety. However, he has reportedly received assurances from the government, with support from BCB director and his coach, Nazmul Abedeen Fahim.
