Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended from bowling in ECB-organized competitions due to an illegal bowling action confirmed by tests at Loughborough University. The issue arose during his County Championship appearance for Surrey in September. To lift the suspension, Shakib must clear a reassessment proving his elbow extension complies with the 15-degree limit. The ban took effect on December 10, when the ECB received the test results. Shakib, now based in the USA, has faced recent controversies, including his role in Bangladesh's political unrest, leading to his withdrawal from international cricket.
