The Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 is scheduled to take place from April 7 to 10 at InterContinental Dhaka, aiming to draw global investors by highlighting the country’s economic potential. Organized by the government, the event has already garnered interest from over 550 investors representing 50 different countries, alongside the participation of 2,500 local business leaders and stakeholders. Ashik Chowdhury, chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), emphasized that the summit will offer a transparent and comprehensive outlook on Bangladesh’s investment opportunities. The discussions will center around five key sectors, including healthcare and garments, with a strong focus on fostering sustainable economic growth.

Prof. Muhammad Yunus is set to formally inaugurate the summit on April 9, adding prominence to the event. The summit is also expected to witness the presence of representatives from some of the world’s leading corporations, such as Meta, Uber, Telenor, and Samsung, further underscoring its significance. While a dramatic surge in investments may not occur immediately following the event, the organizers anticipate that it will contribute to a gradual rise in foreign direct investment, projected at around 2–3%. This increase is expected to further solidify Bangladesh’s standing as an emerging hub for international investments, paving the way for long-term economic growth.
