The Anti-Discrimination Students Parliament (ADSP) panel has unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections, emphasizing their vision to establish a "politically independent" campus. Supported by the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangshad (BGCS), the panel pledged to challenge any form of "moral policing" based on students’ personal choices in appearance, including beard, topi, burqa, and hijab, as well as any form of regional discrimination.

The manifesto highlights eight main areas of focus: political, administrative, and academic concerns, student welfare, career and skills development, sports and cultural activities, women’s issues, preservation of student dignity, and advancement in internet and technology. Notably, the panel also promised to introduce Starlink internet services across the entire university campus if they are elected, aiming to enhance digital connectivity for all students.

The manifesto was presented on Saturday near Dhaka University’s Madhur Canteen, where Abdul Qader, the panel’s candidate for vice president, and Abu Baker Mojumder, the candidate for general secretary, spoke directly to students. During his address, Qader stressed that Dhaka University students have been deprived of their fundamental rights over the past 34 years, with particular concern over the injustices of the last 17 years. The panel’s announcement signals a strong commitment to reforming campus politics and ensuring equal rights and opportunities for every student at the university.
