BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi protested by throwing an Indian saree on the road and setting it on fire. This act was in response to the attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Tripura and the disrespect towards the Bangladesh flag in India. The incident occurred during a meeting titled 'Buy Domestic Products, Be Blessed' in front of the National Press Club on December 5. Rizvi praised the Bangladesh government's decision to halt Indian visas and criticized India’s actions, stating that many Bengalis oppose India’s influence.
