From now on, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed the Probashi Kallyan Bank to offer loans of up to Tk 10 lakh to students planning to go abroad for higher education. This information was shared by State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, Md. Nurul Haque Nur, after a meeting held on Tuesday (March 24).
Following the extended Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the Secretariat became active again on its first working day. The Prime Minister remained busy with official tasks from the morning and later joined a review meeting on increasing overseas employment and ensuring expatriate welfare. After the meeting, the State Minister confirmed that eligible students will now receive bank guarantees or loans of up to Tk 10 lakh.
