Massive wildfires continue to burn near Jerusalem, prompting widespread evacuations and road closures as authorities struggle to control what could become one of the largest fires in Israel's history. In an uncommon move, the Palestinian Authority has extended an offer to assist Israel by sending firefighting teams to help battle the flames. Although Israel has not yet officially responded to the offer, similar acts of cooperation have taken place during previous fire emergencies. Meanwhile, investigators are also exploring the possibility that arson may have triggered the destructive blaze.
