At Dhaka University’s DUCSU election on Tuesday, Chhatra Dal’s Vice President candidate, Abidul Islam Khan, entered the Physical Education Centre polling area around 8:30 a.m., where Jagannath Hall students were voting.

Initially, Returning Officer Kazi Mostak Gausul Haque stated that candidates could not enter polling centers. However, upon visiting the Jagannath Hall center himself, he acknowledged he had misunderstood the rule. According to Section 12(b) of the election regulations, candidates are allowed entry, meaning Abidul did not violate any rules.

Commenting on the election environment, Abidul said, “No complaints today, just enjoying. Turnout looks good, and I’m moving from center to center, satisfied with what I see.”
