Neymar missed Brazil’s opening match of the World Cup due to injury, which ended in a 1–1 draw against Morocco. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti is also expected to be without him for the team’s next two group-stage matches, and there are growing doubts about whether he will feature at all during the tournament.

The 34-year-old suffered a muscle injury in his leg while playing for Santos on May 17. Although he joined the Brazil camp 10 days later, he has yet to resume training with the squad.

According to ESPN, Neymar will not be available for Brazil’s next two group games against Haiti on June 20 and Scotland on June 25. Reports also suggest he underwent another medical examination in the United States, though the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has not yet disclosed the results.
