Generation Beta, the newest generational cohort, begins on January 1, 2025, and is expected to span until around 2039. Following Gen Alpha (2010–2024), Gen Z (1996–2010), and millennials (1981–1996), this group marks a fresh focus for sociologists and futurists to study their unique traits and challenges. Gen Beta will mainly consist of the children of millennials and older Gen Z members. Unlike Gen Alpha, who experienced the COVID-19 pandemic firsthand, Gen Beta will see it as a historical event. Shaped by rapid technological progress, this generation will rely heavily on artificial intelligence (AI) and smart devices in their daily lives. Many are predicted to live into the 22nd century, further integrating technology into human experience.
