Currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Singapore, Musa has started opening his eyes and moving his arms and legs. Shahriar Mahmood Yamin, a member of the Central Sub-Committee on Health of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, shared this update on Saturday. Musa’s mother, Nishamani, said, "My son is no longer on life support. He can move his arms and legs a little on his own and is now blinking his eyes, something he couldn't do before." Yamin also mentioned that the government has sent 1 crore 75 lakh taka in the first phase, excluding incidental expenses, and preparations are underway to send an additional 1 crore taka in the second phase. It is important to note that on July 19, Musa was shot while buying ice cream with his grandmother in the Meradia Hut area of Rampura, Dhaka.
