His unexpected reappearance has filled his loved ones with joy, emotion, and tears of happiness. Mubarak went missing after the devastating floods of 1992. He is the eldest son of Ali Ahmed from South Kolapara village under Parshuram Municipality. According to family members, Mubarak left home after the floods and never returned. For 33 long years, his relatives searched for him but found no trace. With no information for decades, the family eventually issued a death certificate in his name to settle paperwork and property-related complications. A few days ago, news of Mubarak surfaced in the Rajbari area of Gauripur Upazila in Mymensingh through an NGO worker. This worker had previously worked in an NGO in Parshuram and knew Mubarak’s family. After meeting Mubarak and confirming his identity, he contacted a businessman from Parshuram and several family members. The family then brought Mubarak home from Mymensingh. Mubarak’s eldest daughter, Monju Akter, said, “On the day he went missing, my father left home saying he was going to meet OC Bahar, who was being transferred. After that, we never found him. I was 17 then. Getting him back today feels like proof that Allah can make anything possible.” Family sources say Mubarak had two marriages earlier. With his first wife, Akhi Akter, he has five sons and two daughters. With his second wife, Anwara Begum, he has three sons and two daughters. Later, he married a third time in Mymensingh, though he has no children from that marriage. Due to old age, Mubarak suffers from various illnesses and is currently under treatment. His eldest son, Jamal Uddin, said, “We spent nearly three lakh taka searching for our father. We believed he was no longer alive. Getting him back now is a blessing from Allah. His health is not good, but he is receiving treatment. We even made a death certificate for him.” Mubarak’s return has caused widespread excitement in the area. Nur Islam (78), a resident of South Kolapara village, said, “Mubarak and I are almost the same age. We grew up together. We all thought he had died. Seeing him again brings back many memories. Returning to one’s family at the final stage of life is a great blessing. If Allah protects someone, no harm can touch them.” Original reporting: https://www.kalerkantho.com/online/country-news/2025/11/18/1607907?fbclid=IwY2xjawOJGhhleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFCQ1ZLZU55Tkk2aUk1WExtc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHpRZFuN079-tATfPtRMYnyrLG_rWY-xCZe--gJWFF8mSvI6ohyLiIFbM3fD7_aem_o__jwPVtYNXt6Xa4hjWBWA HTML: https://tezzfeed.com/latest-news/mubarak-hossain-reunites-with-family-after-33-years-missing-since-the-1992-floods-1763458652430 Bangladesh desk: https://tezzfeed.com/bangladeshi-news.md Agent map: https://tezzfeed.com/llms.txt
