Rokeya Tahsina, the mother of 7-year-old cancer patient Moaz, has filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking the return of her son’s passport. The case was heard on Wednesday (January 14) by a two-judge bench comprising Justice Fahmida Qader and Justice Asif Hasan. The High Court is set to deliver its order tomorrow (Thursday).

It is reported that on January 11, Rokeya Tahsina repeatedly requested her estranged husband to return Moaz’s passport. During the hearing, the court verbally directed both parents to cooperate and initiate the process to take their cancer-stricken child abroad for treatment, instructing them to submit all necessary documents to the High Court.

Rokeya Tahsina stated that although the couple is divorced, their only son Moaz is undergoing fourth-stage cancer treatment. She added that her husband’s withholding of the passport is preventing her from taking Moaz abroad for advanced medical care.
