Born without both hands, Ayesha Akter grew up in extreme poverty and faced social neglect and discrimination in her village in Gaibandha. Due to financial hardship, her father once even considered sending her to a circus, and schools initially refused to admit her. From childhood, she struggled against society’s harsh attitudes but never gave up.

She learned to write using her feet, continued her studies through immense challenges, and stayed focused on building a better future. Despite years of hardship, she remained kind and eventually began teaching underprivileged village children for free while also preparing for a job.

Ayesha’s determination made her a symbol of resilience and hope in Bangladesh. She passed her SSC and HSC exams and later achieved a First-Class Master’s degree in 2025. Her journey was featured in the documentary “Payer Chhap”, directed by Mostafa Mallik and produced by Faridur Reza Sagar, earning widespread admiration. Today, she stands as proof that disability and poverty cannot stop strong will, perseverance, and compassion.
