The Directorate General of Health Education has temporarily suspended the results of 193 candidates selected under the freedom fighters’ children quota in the medical admission test.

Professor Rubina Yasmeen, the Additional Director General (Medical Education), stated that a final decision regarding these candidates will be made following necessary verification.

On Sunday, the results of the 2024-2025 academic year’s medical admission test were announced, with 5,372 candidates initially selected for admission to 37 government medical colleges nationwide. Among them, 193 candidates were selected under the freedom fighters' children quota.

On Monday, Professor Rubina Yasmeen clarified that these results are on hold pending verification of their documents. She explained that three committees have been formed for this purpose. From January 27 to 29, the candidates are required to present their documents at the ministry. The verification process will ensure that only the children of freedom fighters are included. If any ineligible candidates are found on the list, they will lose their opportunity for admission.
