In Mohammadpur's Japan Garden City, several stray dogs and cats tragically died after consuming poisoned food, allegedly left by individuals pretending to show kindness. This cruel act has devastated animal lovers and raised concerns about stray animal welfare in Bangladesh. While many work to protect strays, others view them as nuisances, leading to such inhumane acts.

Activists and animal rights organizations are calling for an investigation and urging the adoption of humane solutions, such as sterilization and adoption programs, to address stray populations. This incident highlights the need for stricter laws and greater awareness to prevent such tragedies. It serves as a wake-up call to treat vulnerable creatures with care and compassion. Advocates hope justice will be served, marking a turning point in ensuring better treatment of animals in the country.
