In an interview with a French news outlet, President Emmanuel Macron said U.S. President Donald Trump’s bid for the Nobel Peace Prize would only be meaningful if he succeeded in ending the Israel-Gaza war. He argued that diplomacy alone is not enough without real progress toward peace.

Speaking from New York, Macron highlighted Trump’s influence over Israel, noting America’s role as a key arms supplier. He stressed that halting the conflict requires real pressure, and only then could Trump’s Nobel ambitions be considered credible.
