This statement, made on Monday (February 10), has sparked discussions and criticism on social media. In response, in the early hours of February 11, advisor Nahid Islam addressed the matter in a social media post. He clarified that, in addition to a one-time financial grant for the families of the July martyrs, provisions for monthly allowances and employment opportunities have been included. However, he emphasized that this would not be considered a new employment quota. He explained that one eligible member from each martyr’s family would be offered a job in a government, semi-government, or private organization, but only once and strictly based on qualifications. This provision would not impact any competitive examinations. Additionally, Nahid Islam stated that those who have suffered permanent disabilities, such as blindness or limb loss, and are unable to work, would receive a monthly allowance for financial support.
