Police recovered the hanging body of Akash Sarkar, a student of the Theatre Department at Jagannath University (JnU), from a mess in the Bhatikhana area of Old Dhaka yesterday. Preliminary investigations indicate it may be a case of suicide. Akash, from Faridpur, belonged to the department’s 10th batch. Gandaria Police OC Moniruzzaman Khan confirmed the family has been notified, and further legal procedures are ongoing.
