The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the end of a targeted operation against Iran after shelling Tehran and Karaj for several hours. The IDF’s statement confirmed the offensive’s success, noting that key Iranian missile facilities and several missiles aimed at Israel were destroyed. The operation was in response to prior Iranian attacks, including an October 1 launch of 200 ballistic missiles by Iran's Revolutionary Guard, which Israel largely intercepted. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed retaliation, while Iran warned of future attacks unless Israel halts operations in Gaza and Lebanon, intensifying regional tensions.
