The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has identified 202 bank accounts linked to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), with a total deposit of Tk 236.42 crore. As of November 29, Tk 223.73 crore had been withdrawn, leaving Tk 129.4 crore in the accounts. Additionally, Rs 3.92 crore was deposited under the name of controversial ISKCON leader Chandan Kumar Dhar, alias Chinmoy Kumar Das, most of which has been withdrawn. The BFIU is investigating the source of these funds and the individuals behind the deposits. On November 30, 17 ISKCON members, including Dhar, had their accounts suspended for 30 days as part of the investigation. Earlier, on November 28, the BFIU had seized these accounts.
