Iran has refused to negotiate a ceasefire with the occupying power, Israel, stating firmly that it will first retaliate against the initial attack launched by Israel. The country made it clear that it will not participate in any ceasefire discussions as long as Israeli attacks continue. This information was reported by Reuters.

In a report published on Sunday (June 15), Reuters stated that Iran has informed mediating nations Oman and Qatar that it is not open to any form of ceasefire negotiations while under Israeli attack.

An official, speaking to Reuters on condition of anonymity, said that Iran conveyed to both Qatar and Oman that it would only consider discussing a genuine ceasefire after it has taken full revenge for Israel’s first strike.

Previously, several Israeli media outlets claimed that Iran had reached out to Oman and Qatar to seek a ceasefire. However, the official dismissed this claim as entirely false.
