BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has praised the interim government for its effective performance and the positive direction in which it is leading the country. Speaking at a reunion event organized by the Revolutionary Workers Party at the Dhaka Reporters Unity, he expressed hope that all political parties involved in the ongoing anti-fascist movement would come together in support of the transitional administration.

He pointed out that the people's movement—led by the BNP and other allied groups—has already begun to spark the public’s desire for a truly democratic society in Bangladesh. According to Fakhrul, meaningful and lasting change is not possible under the current state structure, which is why the BNP has introduced a detailed 31-point reform plan aimed at bringing about political, economic, and social transformation.

Reflecting on the uncertainty of the past ten months, Fakhrul noted that the recent meeting between BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and the Chief Advisor of the interim government, Dr. Yunus, has restored a sense of hope and confidence. He voiced optimism about the possibility of holding a national election in February, seeing it as a crucial opportunity to achieve their goals.

He further stated that while there has already been agreement on several aspects of the reform process, some unresolved issues would be addressed following the election. Fakhrul also highlighted the importance of the upcoming registration application by the National Citizen Party (NCP), expressing strong confidence in the younger generation of leaders who have played key roles in previous movements.
