On Sunday morning (August 16), 2026 SSC passers from Kaltan Vidyaniketan in Kalidas village donated Tk 20,000 toward the treatment of their classmate Naeem Sikder’s cancer-stricken mother.

The initiative was joined by other students and teachers, bringing the total donation to Tk 40,000. The SSC passers contributed Tk 20,000, while teachers and other students donated the remaining Tk 20,000.

Naeem’s mother was diagnosed with cancer just days before the SSC results were announced. Concerned about her expensive treatment, his classmates decided to mark their SSC success by helping his family instead of spending money on celebrations.

“We are happier to stand beside our classmate’s mother than simply celebrating our success,” said SSC passers Imran, Zahid and Apan.

Naeem expressed gratitude to his classmates, teachers and fellow students and asked everyone to pray for his mother’s recovery.

School director Md. Aminul Islam Badal praised the students’ humanitarian initiative and urged everyone to pray for Naeem’s mother.
