Inqilab Mancha on Tuesday launched its “March for Justice” from Shahbagh, demanding justice for the killing of its spokesperson, Sharif Osman Hadi, and the implementation of its four-point demand.

The march began around 11:30am, with leaders and activists joining the procession. According to organisers, the march started at Shahbagh and was scheduled to move through Science Lab–City College, Mohammadpur Tin Rasta Mor, Rayerbazar Boddhyabhumi, Mirpur-10, Uttara, Bashundhara, Badda, Rampura and Jatrabari, before returning to Shahbagh in the evening.

Participants said they took part to demand justice for Hadi’s murder, questioning the lack of progress in the investigation. They called for all those involved in the killing to be brought to trial before the upcoming elections.

During the march, demonstrators chanted slogans such as “We will not let Hadi’s blood go in vain,” “Why is the murderer free while my brother lies in the grave,” and “Red and green flag, the flag of Inqilab—you can see Hadi.”

Leaders and activists joined the march using 10 pickup vans.

Inqilab Mancha’s four-point demands include:
Bringing all those involved in the murder—including the killer, planners, accomplices, escapees and those who sheltered them—to justice within 24 days; cancelling work permits of all Indian nationals residing in Bangladesh; filing a case against India at the International Court of Justice if alleged killers are not repatriated; and identifying, arresting and prosecuting alleged “fascist accomplices” within the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence.
