Tensions in the India-Australia Test series spilled into the stands during the day-night Test in Adelaide. An Indian fan caused a stir by waving sandpaper at Australian fans, referencing the 2018 ball-tampering scandal involving Steve Smith, David Warner, and Cameron Bancroft. Security escorted the fan out, prompting cheers from Indian supporters and taunts from Australians. The incident reignited memories of the controversy, adding heat to the series tied 1-1. With three crucial matches remaining, including the Brisbane Test on December 14, both teams are vying for a spot in the World Test Championship final.
