Shakib Al Hasan, widely regarded as Bangladesh's greatest cricketer, has announced that he will not return to Bangladesh for his farewell Test match due to security concerns. Originally, Shakib planned to play in the home Test against South Africa, but he will now head back to the U.S. from Dubai instead. In an interview with bdnews24.com, he confirmed that his decision not to travel to Dhaka is final, citing personal safety issues. As a result, his final Test match will take place in Kanpur, India, instead of on home soil.
